This Week's 5-Minute Meditations
Our focus for our meditation circle is peace. Peace within and without as we carry peace into the world. As it is said, “Peace begins with me.” During the session, there will be an inspiration shared before the meditation. The meditation itself will be guided, it could be mindfulness, a visualization, loving-kindness, sound or various other techniques.
Transform your stressful life to one of relaxation and calm. I will share mindfulness-based stress relief meditations during this instruction session. The meditations will be easy to remember so you can do them at home or at work or anytime you feel stressed. You can ask questions about your meditation practice.
The class is extremely gentle and is accessible to those with physical limitations or structural concerns, or those who need to ease their way into a movement practice. The focus will be on subtle movements, improving brain function and eliciting the relaxation response, I will include breathwork and guided meditation.

These sessions are about how we can be peaceful as we take the wellness journey. We will look at a variety of topics: physical, mental and emotional wellness, stress reduction techniques, aromatherapy and others.
As you end the week, this meditation will uplift you, expand your heart and nurture more the practice of taking care of yourself.

Less Stress, Better Sleep | Gentle Yoga & Deep Conscious Relaxation (also called Yoga Nidra)
This is a pre-recorded 60-minute gentle yoga session with conscious relaxation practice in the second half.
We are bombarded daily with excessive stimulation (smartphones, computers, the news & media, and life in general) and it clashes with our natural rhythms. This can cause us to be under-rested and then have to down cup after cup of coffee to keep us “alive” through the day. Stress affects not only our quality of life but our quality of sleep. This class will help you to down-regulate.
Gentle Yoga – This class is a 60-minute class that involves half the class spent in gentle yoga and the other in conscious relaxation. It is a quiet, slow, and meditative class. I will provide variations of poses using props such as chairs, blocks, straps, bolsters, and walls. Being a gentle supportive class, anyone is welcome at any ability. I offer variations to poses to assist you to make the most out of our practice. ‘
Conscious Relaxation – In our second half of class, we will experience conscious relaxation. This is like a guided meditation, but it induces full-body relaxation and a deep meditative state of consciousness. It is also known by the name Yoga Nidra. It is also practiced lying down, with the aid of blankets and props to comfort and support your body. It is an ancient but lesser known yogic technique described as “the sleep that awakens pure being.”
This practice that is intended to induce total physical, mental, and emotional relaxation. It is said that its restorative nature for just one hour is the same as four hours of regular sleep. We will move the mind from inner chatter to calm peace, so you can move into deep rest when you return home.
